Kasa Indian – update

June 16 update: I went past this morning, and a hand-lettered sign says the opening is Wednesday June 16th, at 11am.

The remodel of the old tacqueria at 18th and Noe in the gayborhood proceeds apace.  But, the new Indian restaurant Kasa is not yet open for business.  I like the new paint colors of the exterior – the deeep violet upper floors contrasting with the very pale tint of lavendar at street level.  The street facade is additonally peppered with sanskrit lettering, done in strokes of silver.  No menu is posted yet, but the interior is visible and looks like its getting close.  Some rows of tables to one side, with two large stand-up counters in addition.  Their website indicates the menu will focus on wraps – so it won’t be primarily a sit-down place I expect.
