iPocalypse now

In a repeat of last year’s first-day iPhone jitters, activation servers are again having problems (due to demand) leaving some upgraders in the precarious position of having had their old iPhone de-activated but being unable to complete the process to get the new iPhone working.

People are being told to try activating via iTunes from home (i.e. later).

Not great news, but it seems that it means initial demand is high.
