The marchers rounding the corner at Castro and 18th streets

We went down to the Castro and caught up with the Equality marchers. We followed the very large crowd (thousands, not hundreds) and walked down 18th Street to Dolores Park. The crowd was enthusiastic, with No on 8 signs, and improvised signs of all types and slogans.

The police didn’t seem to be prepared for so many – cars were stranded in the streets, on Market and 18th. The news copters were overhead until late at night.

The weather was perfect, and it was a great opportunity to make our news point, and meet up with friends and talk about the situation and what to do next.
