It’s been awhile.  Yesterday as I was returning from Los Angeles on Bank business, I was reminded of one of the reasons I tired of consulting – the seemingly unavoidable travel pitfalls.  Yesterday it was a Southwest Airlines meltdown – a gate agent told me it was snow and ice in Houston – that caused cancellations and flight delays, ricocheting around the country and delaying my homebound SFO flight by three hours.  After phone calls and line waits I ended up on a later (but still earlier) flight – delayed less than an hour.  But still.  Bad memories!
